What exactly is a Mobile DIY Perfume Workshop?
Drops' Mobile DIY Perfume Workshops are fun, interactive, and totally customizable events where the world of fragrance comes right to your door! Whether it’s for a party, team building, bridal shower, or just a fun night/day in, we will guide you and your guests through creating your very own signature perfumes. We'll bring all the materials, knowledge, and good vibes—no experience necessary!
How long does a workshop last?
Our workshops typically run for 1 to 2.5 hours, depending on which booking option you choose. We like to keep things relaxed and fun, so there’s plenty of time for blending, sniffing, and experimenting.
Do I need any prior perfume-making experience?
Not at all! Drops' workshops are designed for absolute beginners to long time perfume connoisseurs. For first timers, don't stress - We'll show you the ropes, give you tips, and help you every step of the way. By the end, you’ll have your very own custom perfume to wear
What materials do you use?
The oils we use are a mix of synthetic and natural (essential oils) and the mixing agent is pure denatured alcohol. Denatured just means that they have put additives in it to make it non consumable. We hope to introduce a fully natural "roller ball" option in the near future!

Can Men participate in the workshops?
Absolutely! We have a bunch of different oils/scents to choose from so there is something for everyone. At the checkout, there is an option to choose which scent profiles you prefer - more masc leaning, more femme leaning or a mix
How do I book a workshop?
Booking is easy peasy! Simply book via our website or drop us a message, and we’ll handle all the details. We’ll confirm the date, discuss your preferences, and take care of the rest. The only thing you need to do is get excited!
Where can I host a workshop?
Pretty much anywhere a car can safely access, Northland wide. That’s the beauty of a mobile workshop. We come to you—whether it’s at your home, office, event venue, or even your neighbours backyard (with permission of course!) For our Standard & Premium Workshops, all you will need is some flat surfaces such as a kitchen bench, dining table etc and seating for your guests. For our Pop-up option, a flat, shaded/sheltered surface for our pop-up stand is needed. That's it!
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, please! All bookings, besides our Open Workshops require at least 2 weeks notice. Our Pop-up option requires 3 weeks. This is just to ensure we have everything on hand. If you’re in a rush, don’t worry! Just get in touch and we’ll try our best to accommodate you.
Can I customize the workshop for a theme or occasion?
100%! We love getting creative with your event! Whether it’s a specific scent theme (like floral, tropical, or cozy winter) or a personalized experience (like a wedding fragrance bar), we’re happy to tailor the workshop to fit your vibe. Get in touch & let's chat!
Can I remake my perfume?
If you book/participate in our Premium Workshops, Yes! You will be able to purchase a remake of it through our website (we will make it & send it to you, anywhere in NZ!) Check out Perfume Recreate for the details
Do you charge travel?
For bookings located within a 30km radius of Whangarei CBD, travel fees are included in the booking price. For anything further than this, travel fees will apply (nothing ridiculous so don't worry!) Please just get in touch to discuss before booking.
